Introducing Ian Moy

Ian Moy, owner of the site, chopping cabbage in a bright kitchen with jars of kombucha brewing on the counter.

Ian is a fit and healthy 66-year-old male who has worked in the disability sector since 2017.

Ian has worked for Options Disability Central Coast, where he initially headed up the mowing and gardening crew, then as a key worker, had a major influence in the Options Cooking Classes - teaching and mentoring clients in basic nutrition, cooking skills and preparation and providing assistance in meal planning and ingredient purchases.

Ian also provided individual mentoring and life coaching for clients.

In 2021, Ian relocated to the Tamworth Region, commencing with Brighter Access as a SIL support worker, assisting clients with meal planning and preparation, grocery and ingredient shopping, domestic chores and community support.

As a majority of the shifts with BA were night shifts, Ian provided mentoring, community support and day activities with Sunnyfield.

In 2023, Ian joined HolisticRecovery, providing various services to clients essentially around health, nutrition and living skills.

Ian mentored his clients, role modelling healthy eating choices and behaviours. A standout client went from blood glucose levels of 30, which almost had them hospitalised, to below 8 in 8 weeks. This same person quit smoking and literally turned their life around with a noticeable improvement in their health and mental clarity to the point where they now regularly attend TAFE and have become an inspiration for their peers.

Prior to working in the disability sector, Ian started his working career in 1977 joining the RAAF as an electronic technician which included a tour of duty to Malaysia where Ian learnt Mandarin visiting China in 1981.

Ian started several successful businesses back in Australia on leaving the RAAF in 1983.

In 2004 Ian purchased and became an organic/regenerative farmer long before Regenerative Farming became “The latest thing in Farming” Ian raised beef cattle, grew commercial garlic and seasonal vegetables, all without the use of any industrial chemicals or fertilisers.

In 2014 Ian moved on from farming, travelling Australia and the world, becoming an accredited Yoga Teacher in 2015. In 2020 Ian did the first of 2 nutrition certificates, the latter being recently completed in June 2025.

With LivnFit&Well, Ian will apply these skills when working with his clients. Ian’s goal for his clients is to enable them with the knowledge and skills to live their best life.
